THERE are few dinners as much loved as the traditional Sunday roast.

Last month we asked readers which Powys pub served up the best and we received plenty of responses.

So which pubs serve the best beef? Where can you find the most splendid spuds and which pub do you recommend for its gorgeous gravy?

Sharon Nutting said: "The Unicorn hotel in Caersws has been our saviour for a lush home cooked Sunday roast! Lush roasties and amazing gravy."

Trip Adviser user Karen B said: "Went here as recommended by the owner of the hotel we were staying in. So glad we did. Roast lamb dinner was excellent. Went during Covid restrictions being in place and we felt totally safe. Staff were friendly and attentive."
