MOTORISTS face delays for two nights this week if they are travelling along the A483 in Powys, with the road set to close overnight for roadworks.
The A483 will be shut just outside Cilmery, between Builth Wells and Llanwrtyd Wells, from 7pm until 7am, for two nights; Monday and Tuesday, April 22-24.
Traffic Wales and Powys County Council said the work might possibly only take one night, but that they have brought in the notice for Monday and Tuesday night “as a contingency”.
“(The closure is for) stud replacement works and replacement of gully gratings,” said a spokesperson.
“Road space (is) required for road closure throughout the night of April 22, between 7pm-6am, to complete the works, and to allow the second night as a contingency.”
The road will be shut from Llanfechan Bungalow to Rhedyn Cottage just west of Cilmery. Diversions are in place.
