Powys firm Dulas Ltd has been recognised in a government campaign thanks recognising global success, after it secured orders worth £2.5m in 2024.

Specialising in renewable energy solutions for over 40 years, Dulas's products help to combat climate change and support communities, particularly in the most remote corners of the world.

One stellar innovation is the company's solar-powered vaccine refrigerator.

With exports to over 80 countries, it's providing a lifeline to developing regions suffering from unreliable electricity.

Off-grid refrigeration is instrumental in ensuring vital immunisation campaigns press on.

County Times: Dulas are being recognised by the government

A single 100L Dulas refrigerator can hold enough vaccines for more than 10,000 children.

Cumulatively, these refrigerators have helped safeguard the health of millions worldwide.

Underscoring its international acclaim, Dulas collected a substantial £2.5m worth of orders in so far 2024.

This tremendous growth caught the Department of Business and Trade's eye, earning Dulas a place in the 2024 'Made in the UK, Sold to the World' campaign.

A platform for celebrating small businesses' global trading success, Dulas achieved 'highly commended' status.

On the government website they have described Dulas saying: "For over 40 years, Dulas has been a pioneer in renewable energy.

"Its mission is to develop and implement renewable energy solutions that improve lives, help to combat climate change, and support communities in the most rural parts of the world."

Other companies in the category include Chemian Technology and Evenly Ltd.

Simultaneously, Dulas shone at the Wales Business Awards, featuring as a finalist in the 'SME Exporter of the Year' category.

Supported by the Welsh Government, the award recognises SMEs with significant export growth.

The winner will be announced on May 16 at the Vale Hotel & Resort, when broadcaster Andrea Byrne will host the event.

Exports contribute 60 per cent of Dulas's business revenue.

With upcoming projects in East and West Africa, the firm anticipates further expansion.

Government accolade in hand, Dulas's future looks bright, poised for continued global impact.
