A man will be sentenced by a judge for giving police officers in Welshpool false details after taking a vehicle without consent from Wigan and damaging it more than two years ago.

Adrian Foster, 56, admitted perverting the course of public justice and aggravated vehicle taking and vehicle damage worth at least £5,000.

The incident happened on April 5, 2022, at Foster's home in Bromley Close, Wigan where he took a vehicle "unlawfully and before it was recovered, damage was caused to the vehicle".

He also "did a series of acts" which involved giving false details to police in Welshpool on the same day.
